EXT. CITY STREET - CONTINUOUS
Gabriella hauls herself out and holds out a hand to help Dare
finish her climb.
DARE
Okay, let's move. I know a-
She stops and turns around when her rifle is yanked off her
shoulder.
DARE
What the-
WHAM! Kaia cracks Dare in the jaw with the rifle like it's a
baseball bat, knocking Dare down and out.
Kaia and Gabriella lock eyes, shocked to be seeing one
another. Kaia only stares for a few seconds before she levels
the gun at her former friend.
She COCKS the gun. Gabriella briefly considers her options
before she slowly raises her hands in surrender.
Kaia SMASHES the butt of the rifle into Gabriella's face,
knocking her back. Kaia throws a front spinning roundhouse
kick and keeps going, landing a back spinning roundhouse
right after.
ANGLE ON the ground as Kaia's high heeled feet land in frame
just before Gabriella's unconscious body drops in front of
them.
Kaia does a head throw to get her hair out of her face before
she pulls out her phone and makes a call.
KAIA
I've got her.
She hangs up and stares down at Gabriella, who is splayed out
on the ground.
BLACK OUT.
END OF ACT TWO
ACT THREE
FADE IN.
INT. PALACE - PRIVATE BEDROOM - NIGHT
Open on a low CLOSE UP of Gabriella laying on the ground on
her stomach. She stirs and groans as she pushes herself up to
a sitting position.
CONNOR (O.S.)
I assume you've been hearing some
bad things about me.
ARC AROUND to look over Gabriella's shoulder at the bed where
Connor is stoically sitting there watching her.
Gabriella rubs her head, running her fingers over the large
BRUISE on her cheek.
GABRIELLA
(squints at Connor)
Twenty years. But you've hardly
aged.
CONNOR
(smirks)
Donovan Keith special.
Connor gets up off the bed and starts to move towards
Gabriella, but she quickly scoots away from him. He stops
moving, nonplussed by her reaction.
CONNOR
Why are you afraid of me? I'm not
gonna hurt you.
GABRIELLA
Yeah?
(points to her bruise)
Kaia wasn't exactly tossing love
taps when you sic'd her on me.
CONNOR
Everyone was under strict orders
not to harm you. Kaia... will be
dealt with.
He starts to move towards her again and again she moves away.
GABRIELLA
Just... just stay back.
CONNOR
(exasperated)
Gabriella, I don't know how badly
Pike skewed the story, but I'm not
the bad guy here.
(beat)
Here, I'll show you.
He thrusts his hand forward and flattens out the palm.
Gabriella is instantly pressed against the ground, face down.
GABRIELLA
(strained)
Connor! Connor, stop this!
CONNOR
(walking over)
You'll thank me in a minute.
He kneels over her and pulls the back of her shirt up.
Gabriella squirms, but she's being held firmly in place by
Connor's power.
CONNOR
Now, hold still. This might sting a
little.
His hands start to glow a fiery RED and Gabriella screams in
pain.
After about ten seconds, Connor stops and steps back.
ON Gabriella's exposed back. The Mark of Saa is gone!
CONNOR
See there? All better now.
Gabriella sits up and looks over her hands. They faintly GLOW
for a brief moment before going back to normal. She smiles to
herself, relieved to have her powers back.
CONNOR
Oh and by the way...
(off Gabriella's look)
Thanks for the heads up on the
whole Omega Plan.
He taps the side of his head.
CONNOR
Telepathy's a beautiful thing.
He chuckles to himself as Gabriella's face falls.
CUT TO:
INT. PALACE - BASEMENT - NEXT
In a large, dark basement piled high with crates, a small
trap door in the floor opens up and one of Pike's men sticks
his head and a gun out, making sure the coast is clear.
He climbs out, allowing the rest of the team out of their
concealed entrance.
Suddenly, all the lights come on, revealing WEREWOLVES all
around them!
The werewolves quickly pounce on the surprised men, quickly
drowning out the sounds of their screams and gunfire.
CUT TO:
INT. PALACE - DUNGEON - NEXT
A long line of CAGES lined up against the walls form a
makeshift hallway. Pike, Alicia, and Dare are all in separate
cages.
Dare is pacing back and forth in her cage while Alicia and
Pike look remarkably calm.
DARE
Are you sure that entrance was
secure?
PIKE
Pretty sure, yeah.
DARE
So what? We're just supposed to
wait for them to come rescue us?
ALICIA
Pretty much.
DARE
Well, I'm glad you two are so
confident. What? You think now that
your friend's back, everything will
just magically work out?
PIKE
(smirks)
Yeah, you could say that.
Dare SCOFFS and goes back to her pacing.
INT. PALACE - PRIVATE BEDROOM - NEXT
Gabriella is floating a small chalice above her hands,
testing her powers again. Connor watches her from his bed
with a grin planted on his face.
Then Gabriella lets the chalice fall to the ground with a
clang. She turns back to Connor, glaring at him.
CONNOR
What? You could at least say thank
you.
GABRIELLA
(bitter)
You want me to fall to my knees and
kiss your hand in gratitude? Is
restoring my powers supposed to
make up for all the wrong you've
done?
CONNOR
What exactly have I done wrong?
Gabriella can't help but LAUGH at that.
GABRIELLA
Are you serious?
CONNOR
Damn straight I'm serious.
(beat)
Let's recap. I meet you and I find
out I'm some grand champion for the
Higher Beings. But I'm not supposed
to win the war against evil. Oh no.
I'm just supposed to maintain some
balance between the two sides.
He pops up off the bed. Gabriella takes a step back again,
sensing his temper.
CONNOR
You think I wanted to be like my
father or Buffy or all these other
people that got stuck in this cycle
of fighting? Always fighting, but
never getting anywhere. The world
just kept churning out problem
after problem. And for all their
heroism, they end up dead!
Connor starts pacing back and forth, caught up in himself.
CONNOR
And the world doesn't remember
them. Doesn't respect them. You
think anyone cared about what Gunn
or Cordy or Fred or whoever gave
for the so called greater good?
Kept the world spinning for just
one more day. And I'm supposed to
be another pawn in that game?
(snapping)
I'm better than that! I deserve
better than that!
GABRIELLA
And who told you that?
Connor stops and angrily points at her.
CONNOR
You did! And my father. Cordy.
Jasmine.
(mocking)
Everyone saying I was part of this
GRAND Nyazian prophecy. I'm too
important to the world. Its fate
ultimately depends on me.
(serious)
I didn't want that. The Powers and
Partners just branded me with it.
All of a sudden, I'm wrong for
taking my birthright?
GABRIELLA
(disgusted)
Your birthright?
CONNOR
I had a little epiphany after I got
arrested for killing that kid.
GABRIELLA
A kid?!?
CONNOR
(ignoring her)
All the good I did for the world.
Always trying to do the right
thing, please the right people. And
in the end, society labels me a
monster.
The world never did a damn thing
for me, so why should I continually
risk my life for it?
Gabriella crosses her arms.
GABRIELLA
And then what?
CONNOR
As long as there was no control, no
final place where the buck stopped,
the cycle was going to continue. So
I stepped up and took charge when
the world all but demanded me to.
And now the world's a better place.
And everyone respects me, just the
way it should be.
GABRIELLA
You're mistaking fear for respect.
CONNOR
As long as they shut up and obey, I
don't care what you call it.
He sits back down on the bed and holds his arms out at his
side, almost inviting Gabriella to challenge his beliefs.
CONNOR
So again I ask you, what have I
done wrong?
And Gabriella can't answer that.
INT. PALACE - DUNGEON - NEXT
Kaia and an armed GUARD enter the dungeon, walking right up
to Pike's cage.
KAIA
I thought you'd like to know that
your little sneak attack failed,
Pike.
Pike sighs and gets up to his feet, locking eyes with Kaia.
The guard steps between them and points his gun at Pike.
GUARD
(harsh)
Step back!
Pike takes a step back.
DARE
(sighs)
So much for Omega.
ALICIA
Oh, I wouldn't go that far.
(beat)
Isn't that right, Sis?
In the blink of an eye, Kaia's hand shift to a clawed paw and
she reaches around to SLASH the guard's neck, splattering
blood all over the place.
DARE
(taken aback)
What the hell?
Kaia bends down and picks up the ring of keys from the dead
guard's waist.
PIKE
(to Kaia)
Did you keep your distance from
Connor?
Kaia unlocks his cage and lets him out.
KAIA
Just like you said.
She moves to Alicia's cage and releases her.
DARE
Whoa, whoa! What's going on here?
PIKE
The real Plan Omega.
As Kaia releases Dare, we WHITE OUT TO:
EXT. ALLEY (FLASHBACK)
Kaia walks away from Connor and her daughters as she takes a
phone call.
INTERCUT WITH:
INT. ABANDONED SUBWAY STATION - DEPOT - SAME TIME
Alicia, holding her son, holds the phone to her ear with her
shoulder.
ALICIA
Safe to talk?
Kaia turns around and looks back to see Connor's about twenty
feet away.
KAIA
Not yet.
She picks up her pace and gets to the end of the alley.
KAIA
Okay, go.
ALICIA
Omega's a go. Get everything ready
on your end.
KAIA
Gotcha.
They both hang up.
END INTERCUT
FLASH CUT TO:
INT. PALACE - DUNGEON - NEXT
Pike takes the guard's gun and heads for the exit, with the
others following him.
KAIA
Connor's telepathy has limited
range. Maybe twenty feet.
PIKE
(to Dare)
I told Gabriella so Connor could
read her and know about the fake
attack. I assumed his ego would get
him to capture me and bring me here
instead of killing me outright.
(to Kaia)
Everything else in place?
Kaia nods.
KAIA
Just need to open the gates. Can't
say I'm in love with this plan,
Oli.
PIKE
(scoffs)
Yeah, 'cause your idea to send
Colby back went so well.
Dare grabs Pike's good arm and turns him around.
DARE
You mean you set those guys up to
get butchered for this?
PIKE
(deadpan)
They knew ahead of time. They
understood what was going to
happen. This is war, dear. No
creampuffs allowed.
Pike opens the door and checks the area before he steps out,
the others right behind him.
INT. PALACE - PRIVATE BEDROOM - NEXT
Picking up where we left off.
GABRIELLA
(softly)
Connor, I'm sorry.
CONNOR
(snorts)
Sorry for what? All this?
Gabriella, you not being here is
the best thing that ever happened
to me. It got real old always
having people in my ear, telling me
what I should and shouldn't do.
(beat)
Felt pretty damn good to do
whatever the hell I wanted.
GABRIELLA
Since when did you have the right
to play God?
CONNOR
(coolly)
Since I became one. It was my
"destiny" after all.
Gabriella shakes her head, not believing this is coming from
Connor's mouth.
EXT. PALACE - FRONT GATES - NIGHT
Kaia sprints across the lawn, around the golden fountain
statue of Connor, to the large front gates. She enters a code
on a nearby console and they slide open, revealing a large
gang of men and women.
One in particular steps forward. Her eyes are jet black.
KAIA
You ready for this, Carmen?
CARMEN CABELLO grins and waves the rest of her clan in. They
all YELL and storm towards the palace entrance.
INT. PALACE - PRIVATE BEDROOM - NEXT
Gabriella steps over to Connor and gently places her hand on
his cheek. Despite himself, he relaxes in her touch.
GABRIELLA
Connor, it's not too late. We can
fix this.
CONNOR
Fix what? Nothing's wrong.
He SLAPS her hand away and steps away from her.
GABRIELLA
You're... you're not supposed to be
like this!
Connor steps up and grabs her by both arms, SHAKING her and
getting right in her face.
CONNOR
Have you listened to anything I've
said? Yes, I am.
Gabriella's starting to hyperventilate, losing control of her
emotions now.
GABRIELLA
Who told you these lies?
CONNOR
You can't change fate, Gabriella.
So stop fighting it. I did and for
the first time in my life, I was
perfectly happy. It was so... easy.
Just then, Peyton barges through the doors, out of breath.
PEYTON
Connor!
CONNOR
(turning to her)
I said I wasn't to be disturbed!
PEYTON
We're under attack!
Connor blinks.
CONNOR
I thought you and your sisters took
care of Pike's team.
PEYTON
No, I think that was a trick. The
entire Cabello clan are here.
(beat)
Mom let them in.
CONNOR
(irate)
What?
He runs out of the room and Peyton's right on his heels.
Gabriella hangs back for a moment.
PUSH IN on her face. An expression of hardened resolve and
determination washes over her.
INT. PALACE - FOYER - NEXT
Almost fifty werewolves are going to war with one another,
fur and flesh flying everywhere. Pike and Dare are gunning
down any werewolves that try to attack them.
ON a balcony overlooking the foyer as Connor skids to a stop
at the edge of it. He looks in utter shock at the battle
being waged in front of him.
CONNOR
No. No, this ain't right.
His eyes go BLACK and his skin turns pale. He grits his teeth
as swirls of black energy crackles around his arms. A
frightened Peyton backs away from him.
GABRIELLA (O.S.)
(softly)
Connor?
Connor spins around to see Gabriella staring at him. Through
sparkling YELLOW eyes!
GABRIELLA
I promise I'll fix this.
She CLAPS her hands together and the air PULSES out in front
of her. The pulse blasts Connor and Peyton, knocking them
both into the air and down into the melee below.
Several werewolves quickly POUNCE on Connor and he disappears
under the pile.
Then they all EXPLODE off of him in a hail of black energy. A
seething Connor stands tall, staring at Gabriella with murder
in his eyes as a dome of energy encases him.
ON Gabriella, her eyes still yellow and energy crackling all
around her as well. She balls her hands into tight fists.
BLACK OUT.
END OF ACT THREE
ACT FOUR
FADE IN.
The dueling sides have separated to either side of Connor.
Pike is about twenty feet behind Connor, just in front of the
front door.
Connor turns and looks at Pike and smirks. The smirk turns to
a sneer when he glances at Kaia.
CONNOR
Wow. So after all these years, the
gang's back together.
Everyone in the room save Gabriella look wary of all the
energy swirling around Connor.
CONNOR
(looking around)
Makes me feel all nostalgic, seeing
so many old friends.
(beat)
Speaking of which, yo, Pike!
Pike readies himself to dodge. Connor thrusts his hand at
him, holding Pike in place as he pulls a GUN from his jacket.
CONNOR
(aiming at Pike)
You remember Benny, right?
Pike's eyes go wide.
KAIA
Noo!
BANG!
Connor SHOOTS Pike right through the chest! He laughs
maniacally as Kaia rushes over to Pike just as Pike falls
over.
She catches him in her arms. Connor tosses the gun aside and
returns his attention to Gabriella.
Gabriella's still powered up, but tears are openly running
down her face now. She grits her teeth.
GABRIELLA
(cold)
You're a monster.
CONNOR
(cackling)
Shall we?
Connor's entire form turns black and goes flat. Gabriella
gasps, having seen this before. Her eyes dart around the room
trying to track Connor as he SHADES up to the balcony.
He materializes right behind Gabriella, but she's ready and
spins around, firing a bolt of yellow energy into his chest.
Connor is knocked into the air, but quickly recovers and
lands on his feet, barely fazed.
CONNOR
(grinning)
That's it? Please just tell me
you're rusty.
He shoots his own energy attack that Gabriella just manages
to dodge.
IN THE FOYER
Alicia and Carmen face off with Peyton, Casey, and Taylor,
both sides with plenty of back up. The entire room is
sporting jet black eyes.
Surprisingly, no tumbleweeds blow through between them before
everyone transforms back into werewolves and charge into
battle.
PIKE AND KAIA
A wheezing Pike is being cradled by a kneeling Kaia by the
front door, away from the werewolf war. Kaia's tears drop on
Pike's face as she tenderly strokes his hair.
KAIA
(half laughing; half
sobbing)
I told you I didn't like this plan.
PIKE
(strained)
Come... on. At least, let it fin...
fin-
He COUGHS, spitting up a mouthful of blood.
KAIA
(choked up)
Even if we win, I'm still gonna
feel like I lost, Oli.
She SNIFFLES, the tears still flowing.
PIKE
You'll never lose me.
(coughs again)
Kaia, I lo... love... y...
But he can't get the last word out before he finally DIES.
Kaia barely has time to mourn before she senses Casey
standing behind her.
CASEY
(cocky)
Dunno why you're crying, Mom. Not
like it's a surprise. I mean
Grandpa. Colby. Josh. You're not
used to getting the men in your
life killed yet?
Kaia gently lays Pike's still form down.
Then she ROARS as she turns and pounces on her daughter.
CONNOR AND GABRIELLA
Gabriella tucks and rolls under a fireball thrown by Connor.
She returns fire, but Connor SHADES out of sight.
CONNOR (O.S.)
You can't win, Gabriella! You're
talking to a guy who ended the
Slayer line here and put all those
bitches in the ground!
Connor laughs again, sounding creepily like ANGELUS as
Gabriella frantically searches for him. His voice echoes.
CONNOR (O.S.)
Destroyed all the Old Ones.
Slaughtered the Higher Powers.
Annihilated the Senior Partners.
And that was just one day! What the
hell are you gonna do to me?
Gabriella wraps her arms around herself and kneels down, like
she's trying to her body warm. Then she explodes back up,
arms out in her side and:
GABRIELLA
Incendis!
A huge circle of FIRE spreads up and out from her body,
IGNITING all of the walls.
Connor SCREAMS as the flames hit him and he returns to normal
form, falling right out of midair.
He crashes to the ground, but he's back up in seconds,
flinging his duster off of him. He looks more furious than
ever now.
GABRIELLA
You may be strong, but I've been
doing magic since Dad cut the
umbilical cord.
Connor grits his teeth and holds his fists in front of his
face.
CONNOR
Then why weren't you able to block
this before?
The entire palace starts to SHAKE as Connor groans. Gabriella
looks around, suddenly worried.
Connor thrusts his hands straight up in the air and a PILLAR
OF WATER explodes through the floor between them.
Gabriella turns tail and runs as another pillar destroys the
ground where she was just standing. She sprints as fast as
she can, jumping right over the balcony rail and landing on
the first floor.
She immediately turns around and throws her hands up. A
torrent of water CRASHES into her, but an unseen BARRIER
keeps her safe and dry. The water domes all around her,
slamming into the werewolves behind her.
The wave dies down and Gabriella drops her barrier, just in
time for Connor to shade to her and land a flying kick to her
chest, sending her sprawling across the wet floor.
Connor lightly touches down and dusts himself off.
CONNOR
(grinning)
Well, I guess that's a wash.
Gabriella slowly gets back to her feet.
GABRIELLA
Bad puns? Now I know you're evil.
What's next? Leather pants?
CONNOR
(shrugs)
They're at the cleaners.
They charge back up and fire energy blasts at one another,
the two blasts colliding and jockeying for position.
BACK TO THE WEREWOLVES
Everyone's transformed back to human form. Apparently the
wave crashing into them briefly knocked them all out.
Kaia shakes her head to clear the cobwebs just as a mid
transformation Taylor LEAPS into the air behind her. Kaia
turns and GASPS before-
BANG!
A HOLE is blown right through Taylor's chest! Kaia turns back
around to see Dare coolly blowing the barrel of her shotgun.
DARE
You owe me a beer.
Kaia smiles, but it instantly drops and she jumps up,
knocking Dare to the ground and decking a werewolf that was
sneaking up on Dare with a punch.
Kaia quickly raises her foot and SPIKES the heel right
through the werewolf's throat!
Dare, still on her ass, aims and blows another werewolf away.
Kaia looks over to Connor and Gabriella. Connor's attack is
slowly edging out Gabriella's.
Kaia forcibly grabs Dare by the arm.
DARE
Hey!
KAIA
Did Oli teach you the protection
spell I got for him?
DARE
(nods)
Yeah, we all had to learn it.
Kaia nods to Gabriella, who has dropped to one knee under
Connor's power.
KAIA
You have to help Gabriella. She
needs that spell.
Dare nods and starts making her way over towards Gabriella,
stopping to kill two more werewolves.
A HOWL from gets Kaia to turn around. Two werewolves are
standing in front of her, panting heavily. They have blood
and loose trails of flesh hanging off their jaws.
Behind them, the bloodied forms of Alicia and Carmen are laid
out on the ground, both with ragged chunks of flesh missing.
Kaia's eyes narrow as the two werewolves turn human again.
Casey and Peyton.
CONNOR AND GABRIELLA
Gabriella strains to hold her ground, but she's clearly
losing. She's down on both knees now.
Behind her, Dare is peaking around the corner of a hallway,
mumbling to herself.
Gabriella finally gives out, dropping her hands and closing
her eyes, awaiting the inevitable.
But Connor's attack bounces harmlessly off of her.
CONNOR
What?
He fires another attack before Gabriella can process what
happened. Again, it's deflected.
Gabriella gets back to her feet.
CONNOR
(smirking)
Someone's looking out for you.
That's cool though.
He takes off his shirt, revealing a surprisingly chiseled
physique.
CONNOR
I can do this the old fashioned
way.
He raises his fists and starts to circle Gabriella. She
narrows her eyes and drops into a fighting stance.
Connor leads off with a wild leaping punch that Gabriella
easily sidesteps. Connor lands on one feet and quickly swings
his other around, catching Gabriella in the back.
She staggers forward and fires back with a spinning backfist
that clips Connor in the jaw.
Connor's rocked, but he comes right back with a wild three
punch combo that Gabriella blocks on her arms. She springs
forward and lands a down swinging elbow on the bridge of
Connor's nose, instantly breaking it.
KAIA AND HER DAUGHTERS
All back on wolf form now, rolling around the ground battling
one another. Kaia's noticeably larger than both of her
daughters. One of them BITES into her arm and Kaia ROARS in
pain.
She heaves her entire arm over her head, with the wolf still
attached, and slams the wolf face first into the ground.
The other wolf jumps on her back. Kaia goes down, but quickly
rolls over to her back.
She draws her claws into the wolf's neck as it tries to bite
down on her own neck. Kaia SNARLS and buries her paws deeper
in her daughter's neck, then yanks up and RIPS HER HEAD OFF!
The now-headless wolf drops on top of her, blood pooling all
over both of them. Kaia changes back to human form and pushes
the body off of her as it changes back to Peyton.
Kaia gets back to her feet and looks to the still wolfed out
Casey, who is just coming to.
Casey GROWLS at Kaia before turning tail and RUNNING. Kaia
kicks up a shotgun from the ground with her foot and only
needs about a second to aim before she fires, nailing Casey
in the back.
Casey crashes to the ground and goes still, changing back to
her human form. There's a bloody wound in her back that oozes
blood.
Kaia looks around at the massacre. She's the last one
standing among a pile of dead werewolves. That's when she
hears:
CONNOR AND GABRIELLA
Connor YELLS and throws a wide right hook that Gabriella
counters with a quick straight left. She front kicks Connor,
knocking him to the ground.
GABRIELLA
(incredulous)
Exactly how long has it been since
you actually had to use your fists
in a fight?
(smirks)
Please tell me you're just rusty.
Connor springs to his feet, pulling a KNIFE from his back
pocket that Gabriella doesn't see.
ON DARE as her eyes go wide.
Connor rushes right at Gabriella, who braces herself. He
SLIDES feet first before he reaches her and sweeps her legs
out from under her.
Gabriella lands hard on her back and throws her arms up over
her face as Connor prepares to strike the killing blow.
Then he turns and buries the knife into Dare's heart!
CONNOR
Telepathy or no, I knew someone
would be stupid enough to try
playing hero.
GABRIELLA
Darryn!
Connor TWISTS the knife before he yanks it out. Gabriella
watches as Dare drops to her knees. Their eyes lock for a
brief moment.
DARE
It's... Dare.
And she falls forward. Dead. Connor looks back to Gabriella,
who is in shock.
CONNOR
Awww, was she someone special to
you? Being vegan and all, I always
assumed part of you liked the bush.
Gabriella gets back to her feet and Connor hits her with a
powerful energy attack that knocks her clear across the room,
over Kaia's head and landing to Pike's body.
CONNOR
Oh look. Suddenly, you're not
protected anymore. What a crying
shame.
Kaia turns back to Connor and GROWLS at him.
CONNOR
(scoffs)
Bitch, please.
Kaia leaps at Connor, but he calmly halts her in midair with
his hand.
CONNOR
Alright, Kaia. Victim's choice. I'm
gonna beat you to death with one of
your limbs, but lucky you! You get
to pick which one.
Kaia SPITS in his face. Connor grabs her right arm with his
free hand and RIPS it clean off her body!
Kaia SCREAMS at the top of her lungs as the blood begins to
spew from the stump that used to be her arm.
CONNOR
Awww, see there. Now you and Pike-
He SWATS her out of the air with her own arm.
CONNOR
- match!
Connor strides over to Kaia and mercilessly starts STOMPING
